Alisa holds a Master of Counselling degree from City University, Vancouver BC, she is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, with the designation of CCC. She is a tenured clinical counsellor with a passion for helping people navigate the challenges they face.
Alisa approaches each client with empathy. She view’s her clients as the experts of their own lives. She believes that your personal story and experiences influence the choices that you make in your life. Sometimes, life can take us by surprise and we can find ourselves in situations that we never could have imagined possible. She views her role as a guide to find coping solutions and a path to a better life. Alisa is an empathic and a compassionate listener and counsels without judgment. It is most important to her that her clients feel safe and supported. She will empower you to think of your circumstances and struggles in ways you may not have thought of on your own. Collaboratively, you will find solutions that will have positive outcomes.
Alisa’s therapeutic approach is client-centered and solution-focused. She believes her clients are the drivers of their vehicles in change. She see’s her role as guide, to work collaboratively with clients to facilitate desired change by exploring possibilities and finding solutions to meet client goals. Her treatment approach includes Cognitive/Cognitive-Behavioral, Trauma Informed, Developmental, Family Systems, Interpersonal, Person-Centered and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
