Shannon is an experienced Physiotherapist who has also worked for a number of
years in the fitness industry. She graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy from
the University of British Columbia in 2014. After a low back (disc) injury ended her
university volleyball career, Shannon developed a keen interest in helping clients
who suffer from chronic low back pain. Shannon has a holistic approach to
treatment uncovering the root cause of movement dysfunction to create a
comprehensive treatment plan by breaking down movement patterns working to
regain mobility, core strength, and breath mechanics. She’s particularly
enthusiastic about empowering her clients through education: helping them
understand their pain and improve function and performance.
Shannon is a busy mom of two, and since becoming a mother, she has taken a
keen interest in women’s health and pelvic floor related issues. She is passionate
about pre/post natal care and helping new moms with post natal pelvic floor
recovery and safe return to activity. Shannon has taken numerous professional
development courses in dry needling/IMS, manual therapy, pelvic health, exercise
prescription and movement evaluation and intervention.
Shannon incorporates her extensive experience in exercise prescription with
unique gym based physiotherapy sessions to address strength, flexibility, and
rehabilitation goals with using movement as therapy.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Shannon chasing after her two girls, doing some
form of fitness activity, or walking the beautiful beaches of Vancouver.
