What is Online Rehabilitation/Telehealth?
We have decided that the most responsible way to support you and everyone in our community is to change the way we deliver healthcare. Continuity of care is really important to us. Online rehabilitation is a unique way to deliver services when an in person visit is not possible. By transitioning our services online you will still have access to care from our Registered Physiotherapists. Telehealth and online rehabilitation visits are to meet the same standards of practice set out by the College of Physiotherapists of BC regardless of the method of service delivery.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your Physiotherapy appointment during these treatment sessions will look a little different than normal. While we can’t offer manual therapy or use modalities such as needling, we can offer:
Movement Assessment | Expert Advice | Self Management Strategies | Guided Self Mobilizations | Soft Tissue Release | Supervised Exercise Programs | Movement Progressions
Our clinicians will be happy to speak with you to answer specific questions, and make a clear plan with you and to determine if an online treatment program is appropriate for you

Most of the concern around telehealth and online rehabilitation service delivery is the security of your personal information.
Physiotherapists are required by the College of Physical Therapists of BC to ensure the privacy and security of your personal information at all times and will document your visit in your chart as they usually would in an in-person session.
Online rehabilitation/telehealth has obvious limitations when compared to an in-person visit. The limitations include inability to perform hands-on examination, assessment and treatment. In a discussion with your physiotherapist, you both can decide together if an online rehabilitation visit is appropriate based on your individual circumstances.
