About Clinical Pilates (Physiotherapy)

Clinical Pilates incorporates the traditional movement principles of Pilates with the medical and movement knowledge of a Registered Physiotherapist. Clinical Pilates, is part of a treatment program designed from a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment to address your individual needs. Each program is thoughtfully created based on your own individual assessment findings to address your specific movement dysfunctions with targeted goals to improve your movement.

Our highly trained therapists and Physiotherapist’s assistants at True Physiotherapy and Pilates may use a combination of specialized Pilates equipment as part of your program including the reformers, mat and chair.

Clinical Pilates is widely used all over the world for rehabilitation, preventative wellness, movement efficiency and to enhance performance. Moving well helps to mitigate risk of future injury and helps to improve overall body awareness.

Clinical Pilates can help to improve spinal stability, core strength, flexibility and create balance in movement. Individualized Pilates exercise programs can help you safely and effectively recover from injury, and improve your overall movement.
