Registered Physiotherapist

Steveston

Shannon is an experienced Physiotherapist who has also worked for a number of years in the fitness industry. She graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia in 2014. After a low back (disc) injury ended her university volleyball career, Shannon developed a keen interest in helping clients who suffer from chronic low back pain. Shannon has a holistic approach to treatment uncovering the root cause of movement dysfunction to create a comprehensive treatment plan by breaking down movement patterns working to regain mobility, core strength, and breath mechanics. She’s particularly enthusiastic about empowering her clients through education: helping them understand their pain and improve function and performance.

Shannon is a busy mom of two, and since becoming a mother, she has taken a keen interest in women’s health and pelvic floor related issues. She is passionate about pre/post natal care and helping new moms with post natal pelvic floor recovery and safe return to activity. Shannon has taken numerous professional development courses in dry needling/IMS, manual therapy, pelvic health, exercise prescription and movement evaluation and intervention.

Shannon incorporates her extensive experience in exercise prescription with unique gym based physiotherapy sessions to address strength, flexibility, and
rehabilitation goals with using movement as therapy.

Outside of the clinic, you can find Shannon chasing after her two girls, doing some form of fitness activity, or walking the beautiful beaches of Vancouver.
