Ona completed the Balanced Body University comprehensive Pilates training program in San Francisco, California where she had the privilege of a full year of in depth training under Balanced Body Master Instructor and studio owner, Katie Santos. After completing her training and client hours, Ona returned to Vancouver to work alongside a Physiotherapist at a Physio & Pilates clinic, where she had the opportunity to gain experience working with a wide range of clients from pre and post natal, to professional athletes, and those recovering from serious injuries.
Ona provides Pilates instruction as a form of rehabilitation for injuries and disease related movement problems, and other imbalances caused by lifestyle, poor posture, one sided sports, and habitual movement patterns. She has an inclusive and tailored teaching style, while still remaining true to the Pilates Principals. As a clinical pilates* professional, Ona offers guidance through clear precise instruction of the exercises with a focus on catering to each clients individual needs. Ona believes the Pilates method can provide a means to correct imbalances and bring a client’s body back to a place where movement happens with ease, free of pain and injuries.
Ona’s goals have always been to live a healthy, active lifestyle and she is passionate about helping others do the same. In her sessions, clients can expect to work effectively, stay focused, and achieve some big goals.
